At the Wayne County Care Center, choosing the right employees to treat and care for our residents is our primary goal.  We employ approximately 90 dedicated employees, each of whom is educated and trained to "go the extra mile" in making our residents feel at home.  Professional staff include a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Director of Nursing, Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and State Tested Nurse Aides (STNA).  In addition, the Care Center employs a Certified Activity Director, Certified Dietary Manager, Social Services, and Facility Chaplain.  Additional support staff include business office personnel and other ancillary employees that help create an efficient operation.   


Steve began working in long-term care in 1995 and became licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in 2004.  His years of compliance and regulatory work prior to becoming an Administrator help the Care Center maintain the highest possible standards for exceptional resident care.  Steve's dedication to the history of the Care Center and its mission of providing compassionate care to all in need serve him well as the 17th Director in the Care Center's long and distinguished history.

Facility Operations Manager

Donna Holmes began her career at WCCC in June of 2018. She is no stranger to the non profit world, having spent 22 years at a local agency where she was the Director of Planning and Community Development. Donnas has worked with State and Federal funders, so while being new to long-term care, she is versed in monitoring and regulations. Her background in business, project management, grant writing, and logistics provide a solid foundation for the expanded responsibilities of this position....

Director of Nursing

We welcomed Melanie to the Care Center as Director of Nursing in July 2016.  Melanie has been a registered nurse in long-term and acute care for 5 years and previously worked as a Paramedic while serving her country in the United States Air Force. She is definitely resident-focused and has a penchant for serving those with dementias.

Activity Director

Candi began working at the Care Center in 1989 and has been the Activity Director since 2003.  She graduated from Alliance Training Center as a recognized Activity Professional, received board certification through the National Association of Activity Professionals, and is certified as a Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. 

Director of Social Service

Kelli came to the Care Center in August 2016 with years of experience handling admissions, marketing, and public relations in the Wayne and Holmes county areas.  A more detailed biography is forthcoming.

Maintenance Director

Rich joined the Care Center in 1992 and became the Maintenance Director in 1993. His years of experience in commercial and residential construction, as well as practical experience with electrical and plumbing projects allows the Care Center to maintain its physical plant while handling most projects internally. Rich carries a Class A Certified Water Operator certification, which he earned in 2007 to service and maintain the Care Center's two private wells and 75,000 gallon tower.

Environmental Services Director

Mark joined the Care Center in 2003 after service in the United States Marine Corp and serving as Wayne Wayne County Commissioner for 8 years.  His dedication to the Care Center and its mission of providing treatment to all in need provides a well-grounded foundation for his position. 

Director of Dining Services

Chef Sue Bollin joined the Care Center team in early September 2015 and what a difference she has made!  The residents are enjoying the changes in their dining experience and look forward to chatting with Chef Sue about recipes and upcoming meals. 

Chef Sue graduated with her Chef certification from Columbus State University in 2000 and her Certified Dietary Manager certification in 2012.  She started in the foodservice industry 33 years ago and has worked her way up through the ranks...
