Job Description: 

Position: Food Service Worker                                       Department: Dietary

Hours: vary between 11am and 7:30pm (32 hours)

Days:  vary (does include every other weekend)

The Wayne County Care Center is currently accepting applications for the position of part time FSW for the County’s 50 bed skilled/ intermediate nursing facility.

Responsibilities of a FSW:

  • Provide a variety of services to support the dining needs of our residents under the supervision of a cook
  • Assist with traying food, prep work in the kitchen, and clean up
  • Responsible for serving food to residents in a welcoming manner and ensuring they are satisfied
  • Administer constant, quality customer service to help our residents THRIVE!

Requirements of FSW:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Compassion for and commitment to hospitality, service and excellence in senior care
  • Ability to be a responsible and dependable team member who can take direction well
  • Adaptable and able to work under pressure
