Job Description: 

Position: LPN Floor Nurse                                                Department: Nursing

Hours: 6 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. (FT- 36 hours)

Days: FT -3 nights per week

The Wayne County Care Center is currently accepting applications for the position of LPN for the County’s 50 bed skilled/ intermediate nursing facility.

Responsibilities of the LPN:

  • Provide professional nursing care to the residents
  • Direct and assist the day to day functions of the nursing assistants
  • Keep the facility staff in compliance with licensure regulations
  • Ensure charting/ documentation is completed in a timely and complete manner
  • Communicate with all departments in order to provide quality service
  • Ensure that staff are mentored to provide constant, quality resident care 

Requirements of LPN:

  • Valid LPN license
  • Experience in Point Click Care and long term care preferred
  • Compassion for and commitment to hospitality, service and excellence in senior care
  • Ability to be a responsible and dependable team member who can take direction well
  • Adaptable and able to work under pressure
