At the Wayne County Care Center, we take an old-fashioned approach to mealtimes. Family inspired values and time-honored traditions have been a part of our mission since 1862. We encourage all residents to come together for meals and enjoy the company of their neighbors. Our goal is to provide an appetizing meal that is also tailored to the nutritional needs of each resident.
*For $3.00 resident families are welcome to join their loved one for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
Volunteers enrich our residents' lives in so many ways. Without the help of so many selfless people and groups, residents would miss opportunities to mingle, socialize, and just have fun. From church organizations to garden clubs to children's groups, the Care Center is blessed with many, many wonderful, caring volunteers.
Meeting the spiritual needs of each of our residents is an important part of our mission as we strive to provide quality care. Reverend Dr. Everett Caldwell serves as our in-house chaplain and provides a variety of programs as well as one-to-one visits to ensure our residents spiritual well-being.
At the Care Center, we take pride in providing meaningful, interesting, and fun activities for our residents on a daily basis. We try to provide countless opportunities to pique our residents' interests and explore new areas or topics. Our Activities staff take a personal interest in each of our residents, noting their particular likes and dislikes, then tailor an activity schedule around them. We're always trying new things and get many of our ideas directly from residents and their families. Come on in and join the fun!
