Our Setting

The Wayne County Care Center still occupies the same property it began on in 1852.  Nestled in a peaceful, rural setting, the Care Center enjoys the tranquility of country life while being located just two miles from the center of Wooster. Come enjoy the quiet vitality of our beautiful grounds and take a moment to sit and relax.

Therapy

Programs provided by our highly skilled Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapists enhance lives by maintaining the resident's highest practical level of function.  Whether it's short-term rehabilitation after a hip or knee replacement, or more involved long-term treatment, our goal is to provide the most comprehensive therapeutic treatment for each resident. Specialized programs for pain management, wound care, and arthritis managment are all available on a daily basis.  Let us show you how good you can feel!

Assisted Care

For those needing just a little help in getting along with their daily activities, the Care Center provides Assisted Care.  Located on the same grounds as the skilled nursing facility, our Assisted Care (AC) facility provides efficiency apartments with daily nursing and aide services.  Meals, activities, outings, and transportation are all included in our AC.  Let us help make life easier for you.
